Yoga for Stronger Bones at MSKCC

yoga for stronger bones.png

Six Week Yoga for Stronger Bones Workshop - Cancer treatments, including chemotherapy, radiation, hormone therapies, and other prescription medicines can lead to weakened bones. Losing bone density can increase a person’s risk of fractures, falls, and broken bones.

Yoga for Stronger Bones is a six-week class designed for people who may have bone loss or struggle with balance issues. Yoga is a mind-body therapy you can do to improve balance and coordination, both important for preventing falls. Practicing yoga in our supportive and calming space, you will also notice an improved range of motion, flexibility, deeper sense of relaxation, and greater muscular strength.
